My Files Keep Messing Up

Yeah, so I apparently do everything wrong when it comes to trying to create the cut-out thing that I'm just gonna go ahead and label as a phenomenon because I cannot figure out how to do it without my whole project file rage quiting on me. ...so I used the guy's file. And it still wasn't of any help. Whoopie.

On Monday, I had the reflection all nice and stuff and then I open up the file today and BAM.

Nothing good.

The Joys of the Render

Yeah, getting this error message over and over again saying that I didn't have enough memory on the machine that I was using...yeah that got really annoying really fast. Not to mention I'm now having to use two computers, one to watch videos and another to actually do everything because apparently streaming video and working in Maya is too much for the Windows side to handle.

Poor Windows side.

Making some progress. Yay.

Possible Peace Negotiation

So this battle has been going on for the better part of an hour now. I still cannot get the stupid MatchMover thing to import into Maya correctly. I've tried it on the Mac side and now I'm about to try it on the Windows side.

Aha!! We have success on the Windows side!!

As a sidenote, I have decided that if I ever have an iMac, then I'm definitely getting a Windows operating thing as well. Just for annoying stuff like this.

-cackles- It worked! Finally!!

Laaaaaag - It's Lethal

And the news just keeps getting better and better! -sarcasm- So basically, the program is lagging so much that I can't move the tracker points or anything like that because just simply clicking on the tracker points makes the computer freeze for a solid 15-20 seconds. It might not sound like a lot of time, but it shouldn't be taking that long to select a single point. ._. Just saying.

I get the "not responding" error message a lot from MatchMover.

Because of all of this, I'm just doing the best I can and hope that I am never asked to use MatchMover every day as a career. I would cry.

The annoying thing is...I know how to do all of this. I understand the concept, I just don't have the equipment capable of executing what needs to be done! It's very frustrating.

On to the Dark Side With Ye...

Yeah. I'm on the Windows side of the computers because the MatchMover on the Mac side is being dumb and throwing a temper tantrum anytime I ask her to do something. -sigh-

Good news: MatchMover doesn't crash at all (hasn't yet).
Bad news: I'm on the Windows side.
Worst news: Where there's no After Effects...

Glitch in the System

MatchMover isn't working on the majority of the computers in the lab. No license or something like that.

And a fun time was had by all.

Hoo-rah.

So basically this is yet another blog for school. Be prepared to see images of things that unless you know anything about MatchMover, AfterEffects, and other various yet possibly intriguing programs...

And I've forgotten where I was going with that.

Hoorah.
